About Us
Patchwork started in the Medieval Age of Europe. Small pieces of assorted cloths were put together to become piece large enough for clothing and quilt. These handicraft, full of personal touches, flavours and sentiments, became blessings of families and the dearests for soldiers and travellers. The art of Patchwork spreaded through Europe, across the channel to England, the Americas, and came as far as Japan. Through wide acceptance and customisation by different folklores and cultures, it found roots in every society and was included in primary and secondary curriculum, and, particularly, an artistic hobby of the fair.
HKQA aims to promote the culture and artistry of Patchwork in Hong Kong as a reflection of the finer charm and grace of female charisma. Patchwork is a soft hobby that produces nice pieces that meet everyday needs with a flair.
